During your initial consultation, your plastic surgeon will review your health history as well as your goals for surgery to develop a personalized treatment plan for you. In some instances, we may recommend additional or alternative procedures, such as non-invasive treatments, for optimal results.
Rhinoplasty is performed under general anesthesia and can take two to three hours to complete. To reshape your nose, your surgeon will typically make a small incision at the base of your nose or inside your nostrils, depending on your needs. The underlying bone and cartilage will be modified, sculpted, and smoothed through this incision. In some instances, cartilage may be taken from another area of the body, such as the ribs, to build upon the nasal profile.
