During the procedure, small incisions are made in the area of the body where liposuction will be performed. These are typically inconspicuous incisions as to minimize any visible scarring. Then, a cannula will be inserted into the body to collect fat. Next, the harvested fat will be purified to prepare it for injection. Once it’s ready, the fat will be injected into and around the buttocks to produce the desired results.
The recovery following a Brazilian butt lift will depend on both the area where liposuction was performed and the buttocks itself. It is common for patients to experience swelling and bruising in the treatment areas.
