Dr. Layton is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon by the American Board of Plastic Surgery under the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. Why does using a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon matter? The training, experience, and knowledge required to become a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon as defined and recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties reflects specialization above and beyond what it takes to become board certified in any other related discipline, including but not limited to facial plastic surgery. In addition, being a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon requires continuing education and certifications above and beyond that of most other specialties and includes all parts of the face and body.
